Get up to $1500 with the Property Tax Fairness Credit. Homeowners and renters can receive up to $1500 as a refund even if you do not pay income tax. If below 65, the maximum is $1000.
Single Mainers with an income below $27,350 can receive up to $130 for the Sales Tax Fairness Credit. If you are married, you can receive up to $240.
Make sure to file forms 1040ME and Schedule PTFC/STFC for the above credits!
