The 8th Annual International Maritime Film Festival Returns to

Bucksport IN PERSON FESTIVAL DATES: September 26-28, 202

Saturday: Film Festival, Two Sessions, 2:30-4:30 pm & 7:00-9:00 pm

The Town of Bucksport, Bucksport’s Wednesday On Main Summer Event Series, World Ocean

Observatory and WERU Community Radio are pleased to announce the 8th Annual

International Maritime Film Festival, celebrating and honoring our precious oceans and those

who sail, explore, research and enjoy them.


Friday, 9/27. The Oystermen return with their rousing, rollicking songs of the sea, joined by folk

singer & banjo maven Kate McCann, offering old time, Irish & Maritime folk music. 7:00 pm,

Doors 6:30, $10 suggested donation at the door.


Saturday, 9/28. Film Festival. With independent feature and short film submissions juried by

World Ocean Observatory, exciting and inspirational film making at its best will grace the Alamo screen. With two sessions of prize-winning films, a broad range of refreshments and the

comfort of this well-loved, climate controlled and handicapped accessible venue, the afternoon

session will run from 2:30 - 4:30pm.

The evening session runs from 7:00 - 9:00pm.

Admission is $10 PER SESSION Doors open 1/2 hour prior to each session. Please visit the

Festival attendees will have many opportunities to visit Bucksport’s varied restaurants for meals and treats, enjoy the spectacular waterfront walkway, with plentiful and free parking throughout the downtown area. World Ocean Observatory, an organization whose mission is to safeguard the health of our

oceans worldwide, welcomes the opportunity to present these films to share inspirational
