Bucksport Bay Healthy Communities Coalition will be at the Bucksport Bay Festival taking place on Saturday, July 20th from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm.
This year, we are offering community members a chance to visit our "duck pond" and possibly be a lucky duck! Try your luck and purchase a duck for 3 bucks (that doesn't quack and you get to keep). Then, crawl through the two-story house provided by the Village and visit the construction zone provided by Hancock County Habitat for Humanity!
We will have lots of fun prizes for children (Giant Duck floaties, Abducktion game, puzzles, and more) and adults ($125 gift certificate for the Lucerne Inn, Carrier's gift certificate, Hannaford's gift certificate and more!) along with important information about resources in the area all for a great cause! Learn about "Healthy Homes for Older Adults," Age and Ability-Friendly opportunities/projects, home repair programs, and even what to do about tick bites!
